True character is revealed not in times of scarcity but in moments of abundance. For Sir Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, his 50th Golden Jubilee was not just a celebration of life but an attestation to his steadfast commitment to humanity. While many choose to extend their dining tables only to the privileged during their celebrations, Sir Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor took a different path—one paved with empathy, generosity, and selflessness.

In a remarkable act of philanthropy, he chose to celebrate his birthday with the less privileged at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp near Games Village Estate, Abuja. The event was not just about giving but about sharing in the joy and humanity of those who often feel forgotten.

Two coaster buses and three other cars were filled with food items and essentials. Sir Barrister Ejiofor personally ensured that no one was left out. Rice, noodles, Maggi seasoning, salt, bread, cake, tissue paper, and cooked meals neatly packed in takeaways were distributed to the children, mothers, and men in the camp. His joy was evident as he handed out these items with his own hands, taking the time to connect with each individual. It was not just a charitable gesture but a deeply personal one.

“It gives me immense joy to see these helpless children eating and dining with me. This moment completes my happiness,” he said.

For five hours, Sir Barrister Ejiofor and his family—including his wife, children, Barrister Mrs. Agu Ebele, and others—joined the displaced persons, sharing meals and stories. His family’s full involvement reflected the values of compassion and kindness they embody. Volunteers who accompanied him helped distribute the items, creating a sense of unity and shared humanity. The excitement and smiles of the children were unforgettable—a poignant reminder of the power of giving.

After this heartwarming experience, the celebration continued at C'est la Vie Lounge and Resort, where dignitaries, including distinguished lawyer Chief Mike Ozekhome, the Eze Ndigbo, and other high-profile guests, gathered to honor the celebrant. The event was a gala and a grand party, filled with love, laughter, and admiration for the man of the hour.

Chief Mike Ozekhome, in his capacity as a mentor and father figure, delivered heartfelt prayers and advice to this prodigy of the law, extolling his virtues and remarkable contributions to society. His words were monumental to the profound impact Ejiofor has made—not just as a legal luminary but as a compassionate human being. The night was made even more special by the active participation of Barrister Ejiofor’s family, whose support captivated the deep bonds of love and unity in their household.

Sir Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s Golden Jubilee celebration was not just a party; it was a statement of his values and a reflection of his heart of gold. By prioritizing the needs of the less fortunate and sharing his blessings, he demonstrated what it means to be truly exceptional.

Loved by many and admired by all, Sir Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor is indeed a man of the people. His selfless act of generosity and his unrelenting commitment to uplifting others serve as an inspiration to all. As he continues to touch lives, may God Almighty bless him abundantly and grant him more years of impactful service to humanity.

Sir Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s Golden Jubilee was a celebration of life, love, and the enduring spirit of giving—a celebration that will be remembered not just for its grandeur but for its profound humanity. Written by Daniel Okonkwo for Profile International Human Rights Advocate.

Music has a way of bringing people together, and some connections formed through it stand the test of time. One such bond is the one I share with Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon. A few years ago, I received a call from him: "Boss, I'm in Abuja. Please send your address, I want to come and see you, sir." Within minutes, he arrived at my residence in Wuse 2, Abuja, accompanied by his manager and some crew members. Jaywon has always been a humble young man, and seeing him again reminded me of the passion and determination he has carried throughout his career. Jaywon’s journey into music began in the early 2000s when he was just another young man with dreams of making it big in the Nigerian music industry. I vividly remember his first performances in 2004 at my musical show, where I featured the likes of Daniel Wilson, W4, Righteous Man, Rocksteady, and Rymzo, among many other talented artists of that era. It was clear from the beginning that he had something ...
